"Ken Masuda"(増田　健）from Masuda knife company in Tsubamesanjyo, Nigata.

Ken is one of the Japanese traditional craftsman who has the national certification of it.

The factory is very old as you can see the photo but the skill is amazing!

He can make any kinds of knives so he has lots of orders for each customer's requests.

These days, some customers come from overseas.

I do not know how they find the factory (for me, its is not easy to find. The factory is in the small town) but they see how Ken makes the knives in the factory and buy some of them.

Here Tusbamesanjyo city is famous for hardware and there are lots of factories and shops. You can have the experience of making nails and paper knife in "Sanjyo Kaji Dojo" in the city as well!

Now his son learns the skill from Ken.

They said that "Blacksmith can make any knives like cutting knife, chisel, pruning shears, pincers, sickle and so on...We can make anything what you want. But it is difficult for the people to understand how the knives are good on the internet, so it is better the people to see the real knives or have the experiences to make them."
